The New Hampshire Theatre Awards is a non-profit organization comprised of professional, community and youth theatre companies from throughout the state of New Hampshire. The program affords participating companies to be recognized for excellence and accordingly awarded by their peers in NH theatre.

Each participating company provides people to serve as Adjudicators. These adjudicators, trained by the NHTA, attend productions across the state performed by other participating companies, score and critique these performances and submit ballots reflecting their judgment.

These ballots are tabulated and an Awards Event is held each year to celebrate NH Theatre and present the awards.
