Since 2002 the NH Theatre Awards have showcased the states remarkable achievements and exceptional talent in locally produced theatre. We continue to encourage, stimulate and recognize creative excellence and exceptional dedication among the players, producers, writers, directors and technicians who bring theatrical magic to the small stages of the Granite State.
The New Hampshire Theatre Awards is a non-profit organization comprised of professional, community and youth theatre companies from throughout the state of New Hampshire. The program affords participating companies to be recognized for excellence and accordingly awarded by their peers in New Hampshire theatre.
How to Join
It is completely free to join the NH Theatre Awards! Simply fill out the application and email that form to us!
Please understand there are a few minimum requirements we have to join: a theatre group must have been active for over 1 year and have produced at least 2 theatre productions. See eligibility details.

What do we do after joining?
Each participating company provides 2 or more volunteer people to serve as a Liaison and Adjudicator(s). These adjudicators are trained by the New Hampshire Theatre Awards staff during an annual 3 hour training sessions held in December and January.
Each year the trained adjudicators are assigned up to 6 productions to attend for free. The assignments are random and can be anywhere in New Hampshire. After attending an assigned the production, the adjudicators will then score and critique these performances on our Adjudication Website.
On December 15th, the submission of ballots for the current year closes - and the process begins to tabulate the winners!.
The NH Theatre Awards Night is a gala event held each year at the end of January or early February to celebrate the best that New Hampshire theatre has to offer! Awards are presented in all the major categories ending with Best Production. It is an event not to be missed!
