NH Theatre Awards

Each year the NH Theatre Awards recognizes achievements and exceptional talent in New Hampshire produced theatre through a unique adjudication process. This adjudication process cumulates to an Awards Night held each year in early February.

Participating theatre companies provide Adjudicators which adjudicate a fellow theatre company production. Six adjudicators are sent to each show where they are required to score and comment on various elements of the production and its actors.

All nominations and scoring is performed online. Communication with theatre companies and their adjudicators are done via email. You do not have to be affiliated with a theatre company to become an Adjudicator - although all Adjudicators must attend an annual Training session. The annual Training helps focus Adjudicators and theatre company Liaisons on our process for Adjudication.

p 3 Finalists will be announced with the category Award presented to the winner. Winners will be given stage time for brief comments. When calculating final scores the highest and lowest scores are not considered in order to prevent bias. Adjudicator comments are made available to theatre companies after the Awards Night and are anonymous.
